The Wedding Edition x By Rotation Female Founders Lunch at Jumeirah Carlton Tower

On Monday 3rd March, a constellation of London’s most inspiring female founders gathered at The Orangery at Jumeirah Carlton Tower for an exquisite Champagne lunch in honour of International Women’s Day. Hosted by The Wedding Edition and By Rotation, the intimate gathering was a celebration of women who have redefined industries, broken boundaries, and continue to lead with style and substance.

Stepping into The Orangery, guests were met with a vision of modern femininity—every detail of the space meticulously styled to reflect the power, creativity, and elegance of the women in attendance. Fiona Fleur, known for her sculptural and boundary-pushing floral designs, transformed the tablescape into an opulent feast for the eyes. A striking blend of deep burgundy blooms and playful coral hues, the arrangements featured Astilbe, Scabiosa, Gloriosa, Gerbera, Anthurium, Kangaroo Paw, Amaranthus, and Ranunculus, artfully intertwined with pomegranate accents, adding a rich, unexpected texture to the setting.

The tablescape, co-designed by The Wedding Edition and Fiona Fleur, was a masterclass in maximalist chic. The foundation? Maison Margaux’s crisp chalk tablecloth, layered with their Abigail burgundy napkins for a tactile, luxurious finish. Candles flickered from Addison Ross’ cherry and white candlestick holders, creating a warm, inviting glow that danced across the Oscar charger plates, also from Maison Margaux. Adding the final flourish, Candle Flair’s Burgundy & Ruby Red taper candles at varying heights introduced a sense of drama, perfectly complementing the florals’ rich colour palette.

As Champagne flutes were raised, G.H. Mumm provided the perfect opening toast, setting the tone for an afternoon of candid conversations, shared successes, and new collaborations. Guests also sipped on Lillet cocktails, each pairing meticulously chosen to complement the three-course menu. Burrata with Datterino tomatoes and an olive tapenade led the way, followed by a choice of beef tenderloin with truffle mash or poached cod fillet with Jerusalem artichoke and wild mushrooms, finishing on a sweet note with a New York baked cheesecake adorned with fresh berries.

Among the well-heeled attendees were entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and tastemakers who have each carved out a formidable space in their respective fields. Eshita Kabra-Davies, founder of By Rotation, whose mission to redefine fashion through rental has reshaped the way we consume luxury, took centre stage alongside The Wedding Edition’s Kendra Leaver-Rylah, whose editorial prowess continues to shape the modern bridal and lifestyle landscape.
