London’s chicest gathered on 13th March 2025 for The Ultimate Tablescaping Event, hosted by The Wedding Edition in partnership with the inimitable Rosanna Falconer. Set against the opulent backdrop of The Loggia Room at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, this exclusive lunchtime affair was an ode to summer styling, complete with stunning floral artistry, ribbon-tied perfection, and the fizz of Louis Roederer.
Guests sipped on Louis Roederer Collection 245 MV before being ushered into a masterclass in all things tablescaping. The scene? A vision of curated linens, bountiful blooms, and candlelit charm, meticulously designed by Rosanna Falconer, whose touch for exquisite tablescapes has long set the standard for soirée sophistication. The lunch was the first reveal of her new Roses & Berries print, hand-drawn by Rosanna and block printed by her team of artisans in Jaipur, where she spends much of the year.
Rosanna herself took to the stage, offering an inspiring insight into the magic of setting the perfect table. From layering textures to the art of floral arranging, guests were given hands-on experience creating hand-tied posies, learning the finer details that transform a tablescape from beautiful to breathtaking. The Wedding Edition’s own Kendra Leaver-Rylah welcomed guests alongside Nousika Patel, both ensuring a seamless orchestration of the event.
As the afternoon unfolded, guests were treated to an exceptional menu curated by the Mandarin Oriental’s celebrated chefs. A delicate starter of Wild Mushroom Tart with Applewood Cheddar and Truffle paired exquisitely with Louis Roederer Brut Vintage 2016. The main course—Cornish Wild Sea Bass Fillet with saffron seafood risotto and trout caviar—was a triumph, accompanied by the revered Louis Roederer Cristal 2016.
Each pairing was expertly introduced by Louis Roederer’s brand ambassador, Alexandra Tilling, who shared the maison’s dedication to craftsmanship, terroir-driven excellence, and a commitment to sustainability. Guests were transported through the story of each cuvée, from its biodynamic vineyards to the meticulous winemaking process that defines Louis Roederer’s signature finesse. To close, an Opalys Chocolate Crumble with banana sorbet was decadently paired with Louis Roederer Carte Blanche MV, a finale as refined as the tables themselves.
With guests leaving armed with some lovely 111SKIN gifting and a new-found passion for the art of hosting, the event was nothing short of a triumph. As tablescapes were carefully dismantled and the last sips of Cristal savoured, one thing was clear— Rosanna Falconer had not just set the table, they had set the standard.
