Scotts Richmond has the riverside personality you would hope for and is a temple of celebratory indulgence where style does not precede substance.
As you arrive into Scotts Richmond your heart dances a little. You pass twinkling chandeliers, multiple dining rooms in shades of glittering gold, a central bar filled with a rotating supply of fruits de mer and a rooftop terrace perfectly positioned for sunset views come spring. The elegant riverside restaurant spans across two unique floors; the lower with an impressive crustacean bar serving oysters, wine, Champagne and cocktails, as well as the upstairs with its central bar.
Restaurant of The Month
At first glance the menu is full of the top-notch seafood for which Scott’s is known, and the river views add a new dimension to the experience. Kick off with a glass of Nyetimber English sparkling and wash it down with mixed oysters and wild boar sausages. Flavours are brought to life with complex dishes that make each ingredient the star of its own show. The romantic tables on both floors are dressed with thick white linen, candles and opulent glass wear, and the staff waiting on each one are dressed smartly in waistcoats and shiny shoes.
Service is exemplary throughout with attentive, but never overbearing staff, catering to your every need and making you feel very much at home. A very well oiled knowledgeable brigade of staff impart advice about everything from traceability to their very own recommendations if they sense any indecision.
Highlight dishes include Baked Spiced Crab with garlic and herb toast, the Scott’s Apple Smoked Salmon with pickled cucumber and baked brioche bread, and the iconic Shrimp Burger with kimchi ketchup and potato crisps, alongside an extensive drinks menu with the largest wine selection in the area.
This riverside haven is undoubtedly an opening with lots of fanfare – and Scotts Richmond we can confirm is worth the hype.
