We’ve all been there. Running around all day with no time to go home and freshen up again before heading out into the town. It’s something that my clients always ask me, so much so that I even started teaching my bespoke one-on-one classes based on this topic. In this article I will be showing you my insider’s tips on how to go from a very sophisticated day time look to a super glamorous night time look, using some of my favourite products from Christian Louboutin Beauty.
Day Look
Once I’ve prepped my skin and applied my foundation and concealer, I jump straight into my daytime look. I start off by applying the Matte Nude Eye Colour in shade Daria. This product can be used on its own or as a base before adding eyeshadow. I gradually apply the cream shadow on to the eyelids, with a small blending brush. And then smoking it out with a large clean blending brush, from the crease up to the brows. With a small blending brush, I also apply shadow to the outer corners of the lower lashes.
To define the eyes, I apply the Velvet Eye Definer in shade Zoulou to the outer corners of the upper lash line. I then smoke out the eyeliner by using a blending brush. Try and blend this liner as close to the lash line as possible for a cleaner look.
To finish off the eyes I apply the Les Yeux Noirs Mascara. This mascara is great for adding volume and length. I tended to only apply a few coats to my top lashes during the day.
On the apples of the cheeks, I apply the satin coral blush shade from the So Chick palette. I love this shade for the run up to summer, it gives the most gorgeous golden hour glow. To finish off the skin, I apply the rose gold highlighter to the high points of my face from the So Chic palette. This includes my cheeks, eyebrow bones, cupids bow and tip of the nose.
To bring the whole look together I apply the Very Gil lipstick. It Is the perfect balance between coral, pink and nude. And not only looks great in the day, but at night as well.
Night Look
First, I apply the Metallic Rouge Louboutin shade from the Rouge Follies palette all over the eyelids, using my index finger. Using your finger will prevent any fall out and will give you the most colour pay off. I then blend out the shadow using a clean large blending brush from the crease up to the brow. This will also smooth out any harsh lines.
Shape and intensify the eyes even more with the Velvet Eye Definer. Starting off in the outer corner of the lash line and then working your way in. To create the cat eye shape, use a small angled brush on the outer corners of the eye and gradually drag out the eyeliner to your desired wing shape. For the inner corners of the eye, apple the eyeliner as close the the lash line possible.
I then set the liner with the Matte Deep Black shadow from the Rouge Follies pallet directly over the pencil. This will intensify the liner but also create a softer and smokier cat eye look.
I finish off the eyes with a few more coats from the Khôl. Les Yeux Noirs Mascara on the upper and lower lash line.
On the checks I apply the berry pink blush from the So Privé pallet and go over the highlighter with the rose gold highlighter from the So Chic palette.
To complete the Night time look I use the Red Show lipstick. Which comes in Louboutin’s very chic Refillable lipstick cases.
