Family style
For families who crave a stylish blend of Provençal charm and active pursuits, Terre Blanche is pure perfection. Think world-class dining, scenic excursions, and family-focused amenities that promise fun for every age – all set against the lush, tranquil backdrop of Provence.
Set the scene
Sitting amid 750 acres of picturesque Provençal countryside, Terre Blanche feels like its own little secluded village with a perfect blend of natural beauty and elegant interiors. The approach to the resort is lined with towering cypress trees, giving way to a serene landscape of olive groves and vineyards, all under the sun-dappled skies of the South of France. The architecture mirrors a Provençal estate with terracotta-roofed villas, sunlit stone pathways, and ancient oaks providing shaded spots throughout the grounds.
The resort’s grounds are carefully landscaped with Mediterranean flowers in bursts of lavender and deep reds, reflecting the changing palette of Provence’s seasons. Winding paths lead to quiet corners, private pools and lookout points over the sweeping vistas of the mountains. For those who love outdoor adventures, there’s a real sense of openness and nature – which is perfect for families who love exploring lush gardens.
Inside, Terre Blanche has soft, earthy tones, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings that create a welcoming atmosphere in the main lobby and lounges, while panoramic windows flood the space with natural light. Families and couples alike can be seen unwinding in the open lounges, where plush sofas invite relaxation, and lovely staff offer chilled rosé or freshly squeezed juices for the little ones. The people here are an interesting mix: cosmopolitan families giggling joyfully, young couples on an escape from the bustle of Monaco, and groups of friends marking special occasions.
Children wander the grounds with wide-eyed daring, darting off to explore the resort’s winding fairy paths and dance around the landscaped courtyards. Parents are just as joyful, whether indulging in the spa, teeing off on the golf course, or simply soaking up the Provençal sun from a terrace lounger. Terre Blanche is the kind of place where days can stretch out in the most heavenly way, unfolding at their own pace, and where the lush surroundings and thoughtfully designed spaces invite you to savour every moment.

Beyond the kids’ club, Terre Blanche offers options for the whole family. For adults, the property’s two world-class golf courses are a highlight, drawing enthusiasts with stunning fairways and tailored lessons. The morning buggy rides to the course are always an event for the kids, who love the thrill of zooming through the grounds, chauffeured by friendly staff who chat easily in both English and French.
For quieter family time, the resort offers scenic walking trails that wind through vineyards and olive groves. Families can also book private tennis lessons or explore the indoor and outdoor pools. Beds are generously sized, topped with crisp linens, and the bathrooms are stocked with child-friendly amenities such as gentle soaps and soft towels. The star accommodation for larger families or groups is the Prestige Villa, complete with panoramic views, an expansive living space, and multiple bedrooms – perfect for longer stays.
Food and drink
Breakfast on the terrace is a delightful experience, families laugh and chatter while munching on buttery fresh pastries, local fruits and artisanal cheeses that bring the flavours of Provence to life.
For lunch, Tousco Grill, near the pool, is a relaxed spot where kids enjoy Mediterranean-inspired plates like wood-fired pizzas and fresh beef burgers while adults can sample Provence’s best wines alongside dishes such as Brioche Sausage and Beetroot Ravioli.
The hotel’s flagship restaurant, Le Faventia, provides a more refined dining experience. With a tasting menu crafted by an acclaimed chef, it’s a beautiful choice for a parents’ night out or a family celebration. And for little gourmets, the chef happily prepares simple, fresh plates that introduce younger palates to the local cuisine.
A real treat for families are the themed dinner nights, where children can enjoy an early supper at the kids’ club with tons of entertainment while parents can kick back and relax with a glass of wine. The hotel’s culinary team takes pride in using fresh, seasonal ingredients, and the result is an exceptional, authentic dining experience that’s true to the region.
The story
Originally owned by Sean Connery in the 1970s, the property has since transformed under the care of a passionate French family who sought to create a destination that combined world-class luxury with the essence of Provence. The estate now includes a community of 65 private villas, mostly owned by families from Monaco and beyond, who come for weekends and summers. Currently, the family is renovating a château on the grounds, aiming to reveal an even more storied past to guests by 2026.
Spa
Terre Blanche Spa is a blissful retreat that redefines family-friendly wellness. This expansive, 3,200-square-metre sanctuary offers bespoke treatments inspired by the surrounding countryside. In its 12 luxurious treatment rooms and two private suites, parents can indulge in restorative massages and Provençal-inspired facials, while children are warmly welcomed from 2pm to 5pm to splash about all together.
Beyond treatments, the spa’s extensive facilities add to the incredible experience. An inviting indoor pool, soothing sauna, and aromatic steam room create a calming escape, while a laconium and vitality pool provide gentle rejuvenation. Fitness classes, from energising yoga sessions to Pilates and meditation, offer a grounding way to connect with the natural rhythm of Provence.
Eco-friendly
Terre Blanche is an exemplar of eco-luxury, seamlessly blending high-end hospitality with genuine environmental responsibility. Tucked into the Provençal landscape, this resort not only preserves local biodiversity but actively enhances it. Awarded the Gold Label from the Golf for Biodiversity programme, Terre Blanche has implemented an action plan to protect local flora and fauna while promoting eco-awareness among guests and staff.
Sustainability shines through in every aspect of the property. Advanced water management systems preserve soil quality, while organic waste is composted and used throughout its 300 hectares. Plastic has been eliminated from hospitality products, and energy-efficient devices regulate everything from water flow to power usage. With its organic gardens, water recycling systems and a ban on pesticides, Terre Blanche offers families a luxurious escape that respects the land it calls home — it’s the ultimate balance of indulgence and mindfulness.
