From an instant connection on Love Island to a private room at The Ivy, step inside Molly Smith’s wedding to Tom Clare in Manchester.
The story so far
Molly and Tom met on Love Island All Stars, and, as Molly puts it, “it’s safe to say there was an instant connection”.
“I went into the villa with the full intention of getting to know Molly – she really was the only one for me,” Tom says. The pair grew closer after winning the show together and moved in quickly.
The proposal came on holiday in Dubai. “Tom planned the most romantic proposal, which completely shocked me – I had no idea!” Molly says. The engagement ring is an elegant oval-cut diamond on a yellow gold band.

Venue
For their home wedding, the couple wanted a lovely intimate day with their closest family and friends ahead of a larger celebration abroad – and they wanted it local. They stayed together the night before, which made it feel even more special.

Fashion
Tom’s suit was a bespoke fitting from Edit Suits in Manchester. “It was my first time in a properly fitted suit and the experience was brilliant,” he says. His shoes were Christian Louboutin: “They look great but killed my feet!” For the ceremony, Molly skipped the traditional dress for a retro-inspired shift mini, worn with a pillbox hat and veil she loved.

Jewellery
“I wore my watch, my grandparents’ ring that they wore, and my wedding band from Dubai,” Tom says.
Wedding party
The UK ceremony was immediate family and close friends only.

Tablescape
The couple took a private room at The Ivy in Manchester, with their close family and friends.
Beauty & wellness
“I went for a soft, natural look – I wanted to feel like the best version of myself rather than change my appearance,” Molly says. Both kept up their fitness routines and healthy lifestyle in the lead-up to the home wedding, as they will for the wedding abroad.

Favourite gifts
The couple didn’t ask their guests for anything. “I’ve just about narrowed down my gift for Molly – she’s so hard to buy for!” Tom says.
Honeymoon
Plans are still undecided, though somewhere tropical they haven’t been to before is on the cards.
Advice
“Don’t listen to outside noise or feel you have to follow traditions that don’t feel right for you,” the couple say. “Remember the day is about celebrating your relationship with the people you love, and enjoy the planning process by taking everything one step at a time.”
