Inside: Jonny Dodge And Cameron Biafore’s Three-Day Marrakech Wedding Celebration
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

From a globe-spanning, adventure-fuelled romance that began long before Morocco to a double proposal across two continents, step inside Jonny Dodge and Cameron Biafore’s three-day Marrakech wedding celebration.

The story so far

Their story began long before Morocco. Jonny proposed twice during one journey across two continents. The first was in the South African bush, where he secretly recreated Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams music video, even commissioning a custom dress inspired by the one worn in the film. Days later, after boarding an expedition vessel to Antarctica, he proposed again on the ice sheet surrounded by glaciers and silence. The rings felt equally extraordinary, with one containing a certified fragment of Martian meteorite and the other lunar rock, set into the bands as a reflection of the couple’s shared love of adventure and the unconventional.

The Venue

We fell in love with Kasbah D’if immediately. Perched above the Agafay Desert, it has this rare balance of raw Moroccan beauty and contemporary luxury. Every courtyard, rooftop, and suite became part of the celebration, which made the entire weekend feel immersive from the start.

We wanted guests to feel as though they had stepped into another world. The welcome dinner was themed around Around the World in 80 Days, followed by the ceremony on a bespoke water platform at golden hour, and then a rooftop black-tie gala beneath the stars. The next day, we hosted a pool party that felt intentionally more relaxed and sun-soaked after the formality of the wedding evening.

We worked with Heloise Agelou of Hello Moments & Co, who orchestrated every detail across the three days. Her ability to transform spaces into cinematic experiences is incredible, and she brought together the production, design, guest experience, and atmosphere so seamlessly.

Fashion

Fashion became a huge part of the storytelling across the weekend. I wore six looks in total, each reflecting a different mood and moment.

For the ceremony, I wore Look 32 from Zuhair Murad’s Mirage Fall 2025 couture collection, a dramatic layered look with an overskirt, sculptural jacket, and face-covering veil that transformed throughout the ceremony itself. For the Explorer’s Ball, I chose the Gabrielle gown from Kim Kassas Couture’s Fairest of Them All collection, entirely hand-beaded with intricate lacework and crochet detailing.

For the after-party, I changed into a vintage family heirloom dating back to 1991, originally embellished by my grandmother nearly 35 years ago. It felt incredibly special wearing something that already carried so much history. The pool party look was intentionally more relaxed, with the Millie skirt and Chosen bandeau by KYHA Studios worn low on the waist for a softer, undone silhouette.

Jewellery

Jewellery across the weekend came from Azzallure’s couture high jewellery collections, including diamond Riviera sets, sapphire and pearl parures, and sculptural tiaras handcrafted in white gold and lab-grown diamonds. We wanted the jewellery to feel theatrical and elevated while still allowing the dresses to remain the focus.

The Bridal Party

The bridal party was styled in a soft tonal palette that worked beautifully against the desert architecture and muted stone of the venue. The eight bridesmaids wore basque-waist flowing gowns in pebble by House of CB, which felt romantic, feminine, and modern without overpowering the setting.

We gifted each bridesmaid three-tier diamond earrings for the wedding day, alongside Juicy Couture sweats, personalised duffle bags, pyjamas, matching ski suits for the bachelorette, and handwritten letters throughout the process. We wanted the experience to feel layered and personal rather than limited to the wedding itself.

Rather than traditional flower girls or page boys, we had a donkey shot bearer handing out tequila shots down the aisle, which became one of the funniest and most memorable details of the entire weekend.

Tablescape

The tablescape became one of the strongest visual signatures of the weekend. Long banquet tables were layered with parchment menus, antique-style maps, terracotta vessels, vintage books, brass candlesticks, oil lanterns, and rows of taper candles. We wanted it to feel less like a traditional reception and more like an explorer’s banquet somewhere between Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains.

Menus featured vintage hot-air-balloon illustrations, place cards resembled aged travel documents, and the seating plan was styled as a world map. As evening fell, the candlelight completely transformed the space and gave everything this warm, cinematic glow.

Food & Drink

The food and drink experience continued the destination banquet feeling throughout the weekend. Dinner included tuna tartare to start, line-caught sea bass for the main course, and apple tart for dessert.

Champagne and wine flowed throughout the celebrations, while the bars themselves became part of the design story, with framed signage, premium bottles, and styling that felt integrated into the wider world of the wedding rather than simply functional.

Entertainment

Music was incredibly important to us throughout the day. The bridal party walked down the aisle to a piano instrumental of Wildest Dreams by Box of Music, while I entered to Enchanted by Joseph William Morgan. We exited the ceremony to Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding, entered the reception to A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay, and had our first dance to Yellow by Coldplay.

Across the weekend, entertainment included fire dancers, acrobats, snake charmers, fortune tellers, monkeys, photobooths, traditional Moroccan tea ceremonies, and a DJ booth with a custom heart installation. But the donkey shot bearer remained the standout detail, completely irreverent, unexpected, and very us.

Beauty & Wellness

My pre-wedding beauty and wellness routine was incredibly disciplined in the months leading up to the wedding. Treatments included microneedling, CO2 laser, Profhilo, Botox, peptides, salmon DNA, spray tans, and hair extensions, all focused on creating healthy skin and overall freshness rather than anything too dramatic.

I also committed to hot Pilates five times a week alongside incline walking sessions, which became as much about feeling mentally balanced as physically prepared.

Gifts & Honeymoon

Some of our favourite wedding gifts were trips to the Maldives, Madagascar, and St Lucia, which felt perfectly aligned with the adventurous spirit of the wedding weekend.

For home gifts, we received pieces from Baccarat, Lalique, L’Objet, Ralph Lauren Home, Assouline, Christofle, Buccellati, Baobab Collection, and Reflections Copenhagen, all beautifully layered, tactile objects that feel more atmospheric than purely functional.

After the wedding, we escaped for a quiet mini moon at Estelle Manor in the English countryside before spending summer in the South of France. Our honeymoon plans feel far more adventurous, travelling through the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, visiting the Bolivia Salt Flats, kayaking glaciers in Argentina, and horseback riding through Patagonia.

Advice

The biggest advice we would give is to commit fully to a world rather than simply choosing a wedding theme. The reason the weekend felt so immersive was because every detail, from the venue and stationery to the dress code, tablescape, entertainment, and even the honeymoon plans, all belonged to the same wider story.

The second is to protect the guest experience without losing your own personality. The details guests remembered most were the ones that felt completely specific to us, whether that was the donkey shot bearer or the explorer-inspired seating plan.

Finally, being disciplined early makes the final weeks feel enjoyable rather than overwhelming. Beauty, fittings, gifting, stationery, and supplier coordination all become far easier when handled well in advance.

With thanks
