Planning the perfect hen do in London can be an exciting yet daunting task. With so many incredible venues and activities to choose from, the options are endless. In this article, we delve into a stylish and unforgettable hen party experience hosted by Chantal Piper. From bespoke cocktails at The Hari to dancing the night away at The Ned, Chantal’s hen do was the epitome of chic. Highlights included an intimate lunch on The Hari’s terrace, a fun-filled rooftop pool party at The Ned, and personalised fashion and accessories that made the day extra special.
Why The Hari?
There’s something very special about having your hen party in the city that you live in. It’s such a fabulous excuse to all get together and have the ultimate girl’s day and night out. It takes the pressure off, and everyone goes all out for the occasion. My hens chose The Hari hotel in Belgravia. Their terrace is such a hidden gem, secreted away in the heart of the hotel. It’s a sun-trapped oasis which is perfect for intimate get-togethers, lunch, and sundowners. As we were a group of 15, it was the perfect place, come rain or shine, as the space has a retractable roof, for my hen luncheon, and we couldn’t have been more looked after by their wonderful team.
What We Did
I believe in keeping things simple and taking a very no-frills approach to things, except for having two hen parties ha ha, as long as you’ve got great food, great drinks, and great company, in my opinion, that’s all you need for a fantastic hen celebration. Honestly, what is better than belly laughing with your best friends, alongside a few glasses of chilled champagne? After lunch, we headed city-side to The Ned for their rooftop pool party for more drinks, more food, and dancing into dusk.
Where We Ate
The Hari bar team made us bespoke Monkey 47 and Código tequila cocktails which were perfect, refreshing hibiscus-infused gin to start and spicy margaritas to finish. I love Italian food and had specifically requested pasta be on the menu. The Hari delivered with plates of incredible burrata-filled tortellini in a pepper and tomato cream sauce. The combination of exquisite food and personalised cocktails created a delightful dining experience for everyone.
What I Wore …
I couldn’t not wear ‘The Chantal’ dress by Paper London, the most beautiful ivory linen dress with chic bow detailing for my hen. It made me feel so special and took me from the lunch to the rooftop party seamlessly. I paired the dress with some sparkly platforms from Charlotte Mills – they were so unbelievably comfortable and I danced until the early hours in them. I also had some super fun pearl sunglasses and a beaded veil which I loved. The right outfit and accessories can elevate the entire experience, making you feel glamorous and ready to celebrate.
Best Moment of the Hen Weekend
Hands down, dancing the evening away on the rooftop of The Ned London, drinking champagne poolside with my best girlfriends. The combination of a stunning venue, great music, and the company of my closest friends made this moment truly unforgettable.
