From a red Haribo ring proposal in a wildflower field to a joy-filled celebration on a family farm in Hampshire, step inside Antonia and Georgie Sladen-Hollis’s effortlessly chic countryside wedding in Hampshire.
In the heart of the English countryside, amidst rolling meadows and blooming wildflowers, Antonia and Georgie Sladen-Hollis tied the knot in a Hampshire wedding that was as effortlessly chic as it was deeply personal. Held on Georgie’s family farm in Hampshire, their celebration unfolded like a dream – equal parts modern romance, rural charm, and graphic designer-level attention to detail.
From a chance meeting in a London nightclub to a proposal with a red Haribo ring in a rain-soaked field, theirs is a love story punctuated by wit, creativity, and unmistakable chemistry. On 5th July 2025, one year after Antonia’s proposal, the couple exchanged vows in the very same wildflower field where it all began. With a ceremony conducted by a dear friend, a walk down the aisle to José González, and a reception soundtracked by Madness and The Darkness, it was a wedding that broke the mould—and had guests dancing on hay bales in the best way possible.
With a tablescape inspired by woodland magic and music-filled memories, and every last detail infused with heart (and humour), this was a true family affair, from hand-mown aisles to honey pots harvested by the farm’s bees. Over two glorious days of celebration—with a tractor ride, runaway piglets, and a surprise rainstorm thrown in for good measure – Antonia and Georgie’s wedding was not only a feast for the senses, but a joyful manifesto for what it means to do things your own way.

The Story So Far
We met through a mutual friend who Antonia did a design course with. Our first meeting was one Friday night seven years ago at Great Suffolk Street Warehouse club. Antonia had just come from the gym and planned to meet our mutual friend Inigo for “just one drink.” Cut to: she’s at the bar, still in her gym kit, where we met and bonded instantly over our shared love of design (we’d both studied the same graphic design course) and exchanged Instagrams.
Fast-forward four years of the occasional design-related Instagram message, and we bumped into each other again at Gala Festival through mutual friends. Georgie mentioned to her friend Issie (later Maid of Honour) that she thought Antonia was hot. A few weeks later at Glastonbury, Issie was hanging out with Antonia and took it upon herself to play cupid. Antonia messaged Georgie afterwards – and that’s where our story truly began.
Antonia proposed on 6th July 2024 at Georgie’s favourite spot in the wildflower fields on her family farm – the very same spot we’d get married in exactly one year later, 5th July 2025. Despite the pouring rain that day, Antonia convinced Georgie to go for a walk and popped the question with a red Haribo ring (we decided to get rings later!).
Wanting to share the proposal experience, Georgie later proposed to Antonia on her birthday – 19th December – in her own hilarious way, pretending to choke on a crisp before dramatically spitting out the ring.

Venue
We got married at Georgie’s family home on the farm, in the wildflower fields. It was a space filled with personal memories, and it felt deeply special to get married surrounded by nature, family, and familiarity.
The wedding weekend was a full-on celebration. The day before, family and friends helped with the final preparations – it was very much a team effort. The day after, we hosted a pool party with a BBQ, drinks, and even an ice cream van that rolled up playing its music. The rain came down later in the day, but it only brought everyone closer – we danced back inside the marquee to a brilliant DJ set by our friend Hannah.

Fashion
We both wore outfits that reflected our personalities. Georgie’s look incorporated raspberry pink details in line with our wedding palette, and Toni’s style was timeless and elegant. Our “something blue” came in small, personal details – including Toni’s vintage blue ribbon tied into her bouquet.

Jewellery
Georgie wore delicate gold jewellery with modern accents. Toni opted for understated pieces to keep the focus on her bouquet and natural look.
Bridal Party
Our bridal party was filled with friends and family. Bridesmaids wore colours in tune with our wedding palette – moss green and raspberry pink. Georgie’s grandmother Bindy and Antonia’s Aunt Anna, both talented florists, created the bouquets and buttonholes. We gave our bridal party personalised gifts and accessories that reflected our shared memories.

Transportation
Guests were taken up to the wildflower field for the ceremony by tractor on a lovingly restored old trailer, which our whole family had power-washed, scrubbed, painted, and decorated together. After the ceremony, we were driven off in a beautiful black Lagonda car.
Tablescape
We used rustic dark wooden tables and chairs to complement the countryside aesthetic. Moss green table runners were paired with raspberry pink napkins for a pop of colour. Long tapered pink candles in various heights of glass holders surrounded by floral arrangements made the setting magical.
Each guest received a honey pot as a wedding favour and name tag – the honey came from bees on the farm. We named each table after music artists and bands that meant something to us, from James Blunt to Shame – a nod to our shared love of live music.

Food & Drinks
The menu featured lamb tagine, couscous and aubergine salads, and a delicious variety of canapés.
In the evening we served G&Ts (Georgie & Toni!), Margaritas, Moscow Mules, and Elderflower Sparkling – plus champagne and wine throughout the day.
Our three-tiered wedding cake was one of our favourite elements: red velvet, chocolate & raspberry, and lemon drizzle – all decorated with real wildflowers pressed into the icing. We also had personalised love heart sweets with “Mrs & Mrs Sladen-Hollis” printed on them.

Entertainment
We walked down the aisle to Heartbeats by José González. During the ceremony, everyone stood on hay bales and sang It Must Be Love by Madness and Hero by Enrique Iglesias – a truly unforgettable moment.
We exited the ceremony to I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness.
Our first dance was to All the Lovers by Kylie Minogue – which ended with us being lifted onto our guests’ shoulders!
Our friends DJed all night and the dance floor was electric. It was hard to stop the music even at 1am!
Beauty Regime & Wellness
We kept things simple and natural – focusing on skincare and feeling like ourselves. Hero products included lightweight, glowy makeup and plenty of hydration.

Favourite Wedding Gifts
We had a gift list and felt incredibly grateful for the thoughtful presents we received. Some of our favourite gifts included a beautiful custom-illustrated print of our wedding venue, a vintage record player that’s already become a treasured feature in our home, and a voucher for a relaxing couples’ spa weekend. We also loved the personalised ceramics featuring our initials, as well as a wildflower meadow seed set – a perfect nod to the setting where we were married.
Honeymoon
We spent five magical days on a minimoon at The Pomeroy Treehouse at The Orchard in Fenny Castle, Somerset. A three-storey treehouse with a sauna, outdoor tub, firepit, and rooftop cinema – all surrounded by willow trees and overlooking a lake. It was the perfect escape to unwind, relax, and take it all in.

Advice
- Embrace the process – It might feel overwhelming at times, but the moments with family and friends while preparing are memories you’ll treasure forever.
- Take couple portraits – Even if you’re itching to get back to guests, listen to your photographer. You’ll be glad you did.
- Let go on the day – Not everything will go perfectly. It rained all morning before our wedding and the hay bales were soaked – each guest was handed a bin bag to sit on! But those little things just add to the story.
