The Best Private Members Clubs For Families Worldwide
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

From London’s new generation of family-focused members’ clubs to sun-drenched beach clubs in the Mediterranean, today’s private clubs are redefining what membership means. Where the draw was once networking and exclusivity, these places now work as something broader, bringing together exceptional dining, wellness, design and carefully judged experiences for every stage of life.

Whether you want a neighbourhood club that blends work, fitness and family life, a space where children can pursue their own passions, or somewhere to anchor long summer holidays: consider this our edit of the members’ clubs worth knowing now.

Jesse’s House, Parsons Green

Jesse’s House followed in Parsons Green in 2024, the second OurHouse with a slightly smarter proposition than its Kensal Rise sibling. The bones are familiar, with wellness, childcare, co-working and dining under one roof, but the interiors take a Mediterranean turn and the outdoor space is generous, earning its keep on any warm day with small children to occupy. The class programme runs at the same tempo, and the crowd it gathers is as much the point as the facilities. Membership starts around £210 a month on a one-adult, one-child weekday basis. A range of new London postcodes, including Orly’s House in East Sheen, Olive’s in Chiswick and Leo’s in Clapham, are all still to come.

Jaego’s House, Kensal Rise

Jaego’s House opened in Kensal Rise in 2022 as the first OurHouse club, the work of Charlie Gardiner, a father of three who named it after his eldest son. Jaego’s is a neighbourhood club, with an unfussy premise: fold the childcare, the pool, the gym, the co-working desks and the family dining room into one building so the logistics of a young family stop pulling in five directions at once. Something close to 200 classes a week run across the OurHouse sites, and the design stays warm and communal. Membership starts around £140 a month for one adult and one child on weekday access.

NEXUS Club London, South Kensington

NEXUS Club London opened on Harrington Road in January 2025, the first European address of the NEXUS Luxury Collection and the most ambitious of the new family clubs. It takes over the former Harrington Club, once owned by the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood, a four-storey Georgian building that Squire & Partners have reworked so the original bones survive under something cleaner and more current. The offering is spread across all four floors: restaurants and event rooms, wellness and fitness facilities, dedicated children’s and teen areas, a games room and den, and sports simulators, with a year-round events calendar aimed at members and their children together. The founding idea is that health, work and family life can share one address instead of competing for the diary.

Purple Dragon, Chelsea

Purple Dragon more or less invented the family members’ club, and now sits, like NEXUS Club, inside the NEXUS Luxury Collection. In Chelsea the model is well drilled: children move between art, music, cooking, sport and open-ended play while parents settle in alongside them or slip off to work, train and see friends. What years of practice have taught it is how to serve two audiences at once and shortchange neither. For the age when soft play wears thin, there is The Outpost, its counterpart for eight- to seventeen-year-olds on Harrington Road, where supervision is kept light and independence is the point. Add the holiday camps, school-holiday programmes and pop-ups, and you have a membership you organise the year around.

Peligoni, Zakynthos

Peligoni has run as a members’ beach club on the quiet northern coast of Zakynthos since 1989, which makes it the longest-established of these clubs, and the only one abroad. It is not a hotel: guests take a villa or cottage nearby and membership grants the rest, the whole thing gathered around a seafront clubhouse open from May to October. Membership takes in a great deal – four bars, three restaurants, a pool, gym, spa and tennis courts, watersports off the shore, and children’s and teen clubs to occupy the young while the adults are elsewhere – set against a season of guest chefs, wellness retreats and social evenings. Numbers are capped each week, which keeps it intimate and accounts for the loyalty it draws from the families who come back summer after summer.

Purple Dragon Studio Club, New York

Purple Dragon’s New York outpost sits inside NEXUS Club New York in Tribeca, run on a smaller and more flexible footing than Chelsea and styled the Studio Club. The arrangement is familiar: a children’s space of its own, integrated into the adults’ social and wellness club alongside, so parents are never far off. The programme runs from baby sensory and storytelling through science experiments, movement, music and cooking – play with purpose. Families drop in for an afternoon, take a single class or stay into the evening, which is just as well for the city that never sleeps.

Purple Dragon Super Club, Albany, Bahamas

At Albany, the private 600-acre resort community in the Bahamas, Purple Dragon has its largest space with the Super Club, five purpose-built acres given over to children. Indoor and outdoor run together as a single space rather than a timetable of separate activities, the day punctuated by organised sport and quiet creative play as the children please. The real draw is the camps, which run multi-day and week-long: children step into immersive themed worlds of sport, storytelling, movement and discovery, guided by the club’s Play Ambassadors. This is Purple Dragon scaled for island life, the kind of resort to settle in for weeks.
