Recently named in “The best sound baths in London” by Condé Nast Traveller, Stephanie Waxberg is a CMA accredited sound healer who focuses on grounding practices and helping her clients to reconnect with their intuition. During her sessions, Stephanie uses pure quartz Crystal Tones alchemy bowls, tuning forks, and Koshi chimes. The vibrational frequency of these instruments helps to attain a meditative, deeper state of consciousness, and brings balance, harmony and calm.
Stephanie holds monthly residencies at 1 Hotel Mayfair and V Health Club, as well as the sound healing sessions at Claridge’s. She also hosts brand events, corporate wellness sessions, guest residencies at hotels around the world, and works with private clients.
I love working in the wellness industry because….
I get to connect with such interesting and kind people in a more meaningful way. It’s so important to me that my sound healing events are a welcoming, safe space and I love to provide an opportunity for my clients to talk through their experiences which generates such interesting and insightful conversations.
I’m best known for…
My sound healing sessions. I like to create a relaxed but elevated experience for my clients, in beautiful settings with special touches such as affirmation cards for guests to take away with them, and I incorporate intention setting and meditation into each session. I previously worked in fashion and finance so I love that I can bring a slightly different perspective to these alternative practices.
My biggest achievement to date is…
Being named in “The best sound baths in London” by Condé Nast Traveller. My focus has always been on providing the best quality experience through the level of training I’ve undertaken, to investing in Crystal Tones bowls that deliver the most incredible clarity and fullness of sound, so it was such a proud moment to recognise all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
I’m inspired by…
The opportunity to make sound healing more accessible and mainstream. I’m such an advocate for the practice and the restorative impact it has on both the mind and body, so I’m always looking for new and interesting ways to bring it to more people. There’s so much science behind sound healing that I want to explore further and share, but I also love the magic of the practice too, and it’s this combination that makes it so special.
The current wellness trend I’m loving is…
Focusing on a positive, more attainable approach to wellbeing through small, manageable changes. Simplifying things by coming back to what is actually important: reconnecting to ourselves and our intuition, and finding practices that make us feel good!
It can be as simple as prioritising a good night’s sleep, eating real, unprocessed foods, body brushing before your shower to boost your circulation, and taking the time for low impact, daily movement, whilst combining practices such as sound healing and reflexology to bring balance and alignment back to our bodies. Sometimes we overcomplicate things but often the most effective practices are the small day-to-day ones that bring us joy.
My favourite way to incorporate sound healing in to everyday life is…
By using a weighted tuning fork from Ragg in the OM 136.1 Hz frequency, which is said to be the frequency of the Earth. You strike the tuning fork, and when held near your ears, to me it feels like a soothing brain massage, which provides deep relaxation, but it can also be used on the body to relieve joint pain and muscle soreness.
My favourite place in the world to skip the crowds is…
Ibiza – it’s my happy place! I’ve been visiting the island for over 20 years and lived there a few years ago. I still feel excited every time I land and it holds such special memories for me – I got married there and have celebrated all of my daughter’s birthdays there. I feel so connected to the island and have held some incredible sound healing sessions there. I had a guest residency at Petunia last year and we held sessions outside in their beautiful gardens at sunrise overlooking Es Vedra with the sounds of nature blending with the sounds of my crystal alchemy bowls. It was so special.
The best person to follow on Instagram for big-day inspo is…

And finally, what’s next for you
I’m thrilled to be hosting my first retreat this summer at Domaine des Etangs, a beautiful 13th century French château which is set on the most spectacular 2,500 acre estate. We’ll be holding sound healing sessions, reconnecting to nature on grounding walks, hosting a cacao ceremony, enjoying the spa and dining at the hotel’s Michelin star restaurant which uses ingredients sourced from the estate’s organic garden. I’m so excited to experience it alongside our wonderful guests. More information here: https://aubergeresorts.com/domainedesetangs/experiences/sound-healing-waxberg/
