Laura King is an interior designer and the founder of Aurane London. She studied Textiles with Business, specialising in woven textiles, where an early fascination with architecture and interiors began to take shape. This path led her to Todhunter Earle Interiors, where she trained and progressed to Head of Design, leading a team of designers and honing a distinctly thoughtful approach to interiors.
Travel has been central to Laura’s creative identity. Frequent journeys to India in her early twenties left an indelible mark, cultivating a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship and the artisans behind it. These experiences became the genesis of Aurane London, a brand shaped by the makers she encountered, from the colour and energy of India to the refined workshops of Portugal. Each piece is curated and designed by Laura, guided by a commitment to material integrity, skilled craftsmanship, and a sense of enduring luxury.
Now based in her own studio, Laura continues to grow Aurane London alongside a select portfolio of interior design projects in London and beyond.
I love working in the interiors industry because….
I love working in the interiors industry because it’s about the whole picture, every detail, from the architecture to the smallest material choice, contributes to the narrative of a space. With Aurane London, I’ve been lucky to work with traditional makers who honour centuries-old craftsmanship while still creating pieces that feel modern and timeless. Buying something for your home is such a personal experience and it’s the kind of luxury that only grows the more you layer it.

Aurane Londonis best known for…
Handcrafted soft furnishings, linens and ceramics. Our fabrics are hand block printed and woven and the ceramics are hand-painted, each made by masters in their craft. I wanted to create a collection that didn’t necessarily have to perfectly match, but could be mixed effortlessly at home.
My biggest achievement to date is…
Founding Aurane London while navigating the juggle of a full-time career and motherhood. Launching the brand a week before having a baby was a whirlwind of passion, determination, and a little bit of chaos!

We’re inspired by…
We’re inspired by antique textiles, Delft pottery and travel.

The current interior trends we’re loving are…
The interior trends we are drawn to right now are grounded in nostalgia and craftsmanship. There is always a natural pull toward comfort and familiarity, and our homes are reflecting that shift. It’s less about following a look and more about creating a feeling, layering texture, colour, and artisanal pieces that feel comforting, yet still modern and intentional.
That feeling extends to weddings at home, where the celebration unfolds in familiar surroundings, turning everyday spaces into something special while keeping the warmth of family close.

Our favourite pieces from the collection are…
The Bloem Collection, I love how the colours came together after experimenting with different glazes and brushstrokes; they are bold but delicate at the same time. They can be used for a family lunch or simply as decoration. To me, they are a beautiful way to bring a little extra interest and joy into your home.

My favourite place in the world to skip the crowds is…
Anopura, on the outskirts of Jaipur amidst the mountains and farmland. The perfect place to truly unwind.
The best person to follow on Instagram for big-day inspo is…
I love to follow @petershamnurseries for tablescape, floral and event inspiration.
And finally, what’s next for Aurane London…
We are expanding the collection and looking at stocking our pieces in some small luxury shops. We have lots more designs and colours that we sampled during our travels, so we are looking forward to making those come to life!
