I love working in my industry because….
Firstly – It’s a privilege to design for such a special moment in a woman’s life. The gown becomes part of their story and whether it is kept or not, it is coveted. Also, I am fascinated by the evolution of bridal wear which is so often a reflection of our social empowerment. I love to delve into the history and traditions of weddings to inspire my work.
I’m best known for…
Creating contemporary bridal wear inspired by the richness of the past but designed for the modern bride.
My biggest achievement to date is…
This is a question I cannot answer specifically. I am very lucky to have had so many career highlights but I am proud to be still designing and making my collections after so long. The fashion business is not easy and there are so many challenges.
The highlights from my own wedding day are…
Being in the moment and enjoying the company of my friends and family. It was a beautiful day.
I choose not to wear a big white wedding dress because…
I got married when I was 50 years old. I didn’t imagine getting married in Ivory so I opted for a beautiful dove blue guipure lace from Austria which was hand stitched together – the lace interlocking seamlessly. For me, the lace which was very expensive was my treat to myself whilst I kept the shape quite simple.
From my own wedding planning experience, my top three tips for any couple would be…
Enjoy being with your loved ones, experiment when trying on dresses and take a trusted friend to really enjoy the process!

The current wedding trends I’m loving are…
The main trend I see forming out as we come out of the clutches of the pandemic is the desire to wear something very relatable to the time we live in. Less inspired by the past and classicism – more playful, expressive and romantic.
