I love working in my industry because….
It is an amazing thing to be able to give women the chance to wear clothes that actually fit them. Clothing that isn’t restricted by size, season, trends or styles. Tailoring that is good for the planet and will take you from day to night in the same suit whilst supporting an incredibly special craft. What’s not to love! A lot of my clients have struggled their whole life to find trousers or a jacket that fits properly. To be able to change that is an incredible thing and the most rewarding feeling.
I’m best known for…
Creating beautiful, timeless and versatile tailoring for every size, shape and age.
My biggest achievement to date is…
Becoming the first women’s tailoring house to have a shop front in the history of Savile Row. To have the privilege to be on ’The Row’ is a pretty incredible thing and it’s exciting to be able to carve our own space for women in a traditionally very male dominated street – challenging the status quo.
My style tips for anyone coming to The Deck London are…
Get in touch! We love hearing from women around the world who want our advice and expert knowledge when investing in a suit. Understanding your body shape and what will highlight the area of your body you love the most is key.
When starting out, its always best to invest in something that is timeless and will take you from day to night – usually a plain navy is best. Something that is versatile with the rest of your wardrobe and ensures you can dress up or dress down. Investing in good quality cloth that will not only feel good but endure daily life over the years is so important.
Finally, when starting out we suggest a cigarette trouser and a single breasted jacket with a one button fastening and slanted pockets is usually best. It draws the eye to the centre of the body making one appear taller and slimmer!
The current wedding trends I’m loving are…
A three-piece suit of course! Not only is it incredibly elegant. versatile and a great statement but it is something you can treasure and wear time and time again after the big day. Nothing like a bit of Bianca Jagger inspo…
The podcast I’m listening to is…
‘My Therapist Ghosted Me’ – its so refreshing and those girls really make me laugh.
My favourite place in the world to skip the crowds is…
The Bahamas
The best person to follow on Instagram for inspo is…
Mo Gawdat – everyone needs a bit of Mo in their lives
