I love working in the jewellery industry because…
We get to be part of so many people’s special moments. Engagements, gifts for loved ones, pieces to mark achievements, memories etc… not to mention jewellery is my passion so from a creative perspective, I get to do what I love every day.
Carrie Elizabeth Jewellery is best known for…
I like to think we are known for offering beautiful, unique & affordable jewellery using real gemstones. That was always my goal with the brand.
My biggest achievement to date is…
Setting the jewellery aside, my biggest achievement is creating a business that my team loves to work for. Having worked in a very fast-paced fashion industry for years, I wanted to create a brand with a more sustainable way of working – one that really cared for their employees & supported mums with flexible hours. I want my team to love coming to work – and I think they do!
At Carrie Elizabeth Jewellery, I am inspired by…
Everything around me. I am a very creative and visual person. I love sunlight & try to see beauty in the littlest things. I love taking photos of my jewellery & styling it up to inspire others. It’s my favourite thing to do in my spare time. Give me a bag of jewellery, a few beautiful pieces of clothing, sunlight, and an iPhone & I can get lost for hours.
The current jewellery trends we’re loving are…
Big statement gold earrings. I’ve always loved them so it’s not so much of a trend for me – but so happy to see others wearing them as I think they are timeless and really make an outfit.
My bespoke range is so special because…
Our custom-made collection is made to order, meaning we can tailor-make each ring especially for its bride, ensuring the perfect fit and also offering special touches, such as meaningful engraving inside. We create vintage-inspired designs that feel timeless and luxurious at an incredibly affordable price. It makes me feel so happy to see our brides wearing the ring of their dreams on their special day & beyond.
My favourite place in the world to skip the crowds is…
New York holds a piece of my heart and I will never tire of going there. I must have been 20 times for work and pleasure and was lucky enough to spend 6 months studying there when I was at university. Every time I go, it almost feels like going home. The diversity & energy there makes me feel so happy & excited to be alive. I live in the countryside now but I absolutely love the vibrancy of London & New York. I absolutely love walking for hours around Soho & Nolita with a coffee looking in all of the unique independent boutiques – one of my ultimate happy places.
The most rewarding aspect of what I do is…
Working with wonder like-minded talented women, creating beautiful jewellery for beautiful people. The fact that our jewellery often means so much to people is everything.
And finally, what’s next for Carrie Elizabeth Jewellery…
Who knows! I am a very spontaneous person who is often guided by my customers or gut instinct, which means I don’t often plan very far in advance. I like to be led by what feels right in the moment. What we can promise is more beautiful jewellery, more collaborations & more excitement. It’s our 10 year anniversary next year so would love to do a pop-up shop to celebrate. Watch this space!
