For couples beginning their life together, Annika Reed offers the ultimate inspiration for creating a first home with character and soul.

I love working in the interiors industry because….
It’s about shaping homes that reflect the people who live in them. Designing feels a bit like playing with a dollhouse, only in real life. I love seeing my patterns find their place in other people’s homes, knowing each wallpaper will gather its own story over time. Home is so personal, and because we spend so much of our lives in it, it feels a real privilege to help shape it.
I’m best known for…
Hand carved woodblock wallpapers and fabrics that balance playfulness with timeless design, setting the stage for your home’s story. Run Away to the Circus – winner of Best Children’s Wallpaper – is a firm favourite.

My biggest achievement to date is…
Setting up my studio and seeing my wallpapers and fabrics find their place in homes around the world.
I’m inspired by…
Folklore, history, and the tiny details of everyday life that spark the imagination – from antiques unearthed at auctions and treasures found at car boot sales, to trinkets picked up on holiday. It’s often the overlooked or unexpected that sets the seed for a new pattern.

The current interiors trend I’m loving is…
Layering pattern with pattern — wallpapers paired with fabrics in a way that feels rooted in folk tradition and craftsmanship. It’s less about chasing trends and more about choosing colours and motifs that feel personal and lasting.
My favourite piece to take on honeymoon would be.…
A sketchbook and scrapbook. There’s nothing better than capturing colours, patterns, and little details from a journey to spark ideas back in the studio.

My favourite place in the world to skip the crowds is…
Teshima, a Japanese art island I visited on my honeymoon. You reach it by boat, and it feels like stepping into another world — architecture, art, and landscape blending together in a way unlike any gallery I’ve ever been to.

The best person to follow on Instagram for homewear insiration is…
I love eclectic accounts like The World of Interiors. Their motto ‘From Pigsty to Palace’ says it all — proof that style and inspiration can be found anywhere.
And finally, what’s next for you …
I have a new collection launching on 8th September, inspired by the upstairs–downstairs spirit of British homes and designed to bring both joy and elegance into interiors. I’m also opening my studio for woodblock printing retreats, inviting people to experience the craft first-hand, and preparing to show at Chelsea this autumn.
