Amelia Peckham, co-founder of Cool Crutches, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of mobility aids. After acquiring her disability at the age of 19 following a serious quad bike accident, Amelia, alongside her mum Clare, transformed a personal challenge into a pioneering business. Founded in 2006, Cool Crutches offers comfortable, colourful, safe, and silent crutches and walking sticks that not only prevent blisters, clicking, slipping, or snapping but also banish the dull, clinical look of hospital grey. Specifically designed for long-term use, these vibrant aids are smashing stigmas and allowing individuals to reflect their personality and style, putting confidence and flair ahead of injury or disability.

Bespoke surprises! Being able to customise walking aids is a first for our industry. Leading the way in creating completely bespoke crutches and walking sticks is incredible, particularly for weddings where brides and grooms have been known to write ‘I do’ on their sticks or match their walking aids to exact colour schemes. From diamanté to photographs of loved ones, there is very little we can’t create!
