Born in Munich in 1972, Jeany moved to the UK for secondary school and studied Economics and International Relations at LSE in London. A career in tech Marketing followed where she met her husband Stephen in 1997. After taking some time out to look after their three young children, Jeany started retraining in interior design, but then followed her husband’s calling to Provence in 2009 to help him realise his winemaking dream in founding Maison Mirabeau.
The couple now own one of the most well-known and acclaimed rosé brands in the world, with a keen interest in sustainability (the couple also run a regenerative vineyard) and awaiting B-Corp certification. Jeany is responsible for the marketing, new product design and key supplier relations at Maison Mirabeau, as well as being a keen communicator about their life in Provence to the many fans of the brand. Her work on the Mirabeau Gin bottle has been internationally recognised, winning the Drinks Business Design Award for a new launch in Spirits in 2020 as well as a double Gold at the San Francisco Spirits Competition. Jeany’s passion for design extends to architecture and interiors, the family home in Cotignac was built from scratch under her direction, and has been featured in publications such as Homes and Gardens, The Saturday Times and Delicious magazine. She has also refurbished the Manor House on their wine estate and turned it into a destination for their many visitors and a lifestyle brand hub for Mirabeau. Jeany was elected to the board of Wines of Provence in 2015 and has worked hard to give some of her communications experience back to the region that welcomed her at the beginning of this inspiring family adventure. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and entertaining friends, as well as going on long walks in the Provençal countryside with the family Jack Russell Oscar.
