The one for the most experienced advice for your big day:
Laura @alifewithfrills
I had to include myself in this round-up. I use my 20+ years as a beauty journalist to bring my product expertise together with beautiful aesthetics. I have a particular passion for makeup products that still allow real skin to show through. I’m all about perfecting your skin with skincare and then just touching it up lightly with makeup. There’s nothing more gorgeous than a ‘no-makeup makeup’ look and all that natural glow shining through. I also have a passion for lip products and don’t believe there’s any such this as too many lip balms. I feature products at all price points, so long as they perform like a dream.
Why do you think content like yours is important for beauty consumers?
I’ve been a Beauty Editor/Journalist/Columnist for over 20 years, so I have so much experience testing products. Content on Instagram is a way for me to share less formal content and to share things purely out of a love for them. There’s also nothing like video content when you are demonstrating beauty products and their textures – consumers get to see them in action, used by a non-makeup artist – something truer to them than they get from traditional press. I also luckily get access to lots of brand-new products or not yet available products, so my content gives beauty fans the chance to see the latest releases. Beauty habits and rituals are also great daily moments of self-care, so the more I’m able to encourage that in people, the better.
The one for advice like your Maid of Honour would give you:
Nicola @nlondors
Nicola is all about products that both perform well and are aesthetically-pleasing. She features lots of humorous real-life content on her Stories too, so you’ll never fail to be entertained. She’s a busy Mum who tells it like it is, so you can trust anything she tells you. She features products at all price points, but has a particular love for luxurious makeup items that look like a work of art.
What motivates you to keep creating beauty content?
Creating content for me has always been a self-care outlet which helps with my chronic illness. Something that sparks joy and keeps my mind in a good place. As much as I like to share my content and I love everyone to see it, it’s also for me as much as it is for them. I find it therapeutic to shoot videos and photos, to play with and test the products I share and to sit and write about them. I also absolutely love my community that I have built and the conversations we have every day. I have a lot of friends that have a common ground in beauty and now it’s like we have known each other forever. You sometimes forget that in most cases you have never met. It’s honestly a wonderful thing to have so many women cheering you on, checking you are ok, lifting you up when you are down.
Beauty is more than just a product it’s about how you feel when you are using beauty products and how you feel afterwards. In a modern world where life is fast paced and stressful, it’s hard to find time for yourself for a moment of peace, a moment of wellbeing, a moment just for you. Doing your skincare, playing with makeup, having a soak in the bath, painting your nails are moments of selfcare that make you feel good during and after and thats why I love this industry. Beauty routines have power to change your mindset and your mood.
The one to help you choose your wedding scent:
Sharon @beautiful_glowy_skin
Sharon is fragrance obsessed and is a go-to source to discover niche and indie perfumes. She is also majorly into her skincare, and features products at all price points. She’s a luxury addict, but luxury can come from the texture or scent of a product rather than how much it costs. So if you want to find recommendations that will give you a luxury experience at a lower cost, she’s your girl.
What motivates you to keep creating beauty content?
What motivates me to keep creating beauty content is the fact that my family and friends are always coming to me for advice on beauty products and encouraging me to keep doing what I love. Plus, of course, the support I get from my audience, fellow content creators and the professional relationships I have built with brands. Content like mine is important for beauty consumers because after testing out products I always share my own honest opinions and realistic reviews regardless the brand. You get the opportunity to try the latest products and trends, meet fellow content creators at events and work with amazing brands! I’m obsessed with skincare, but I also love fragrances and makeup too!
The one to listen to if you want to be a cool bride:
Laura @addict_to_beauty_
If you want to see some of the latest beauty releases in action, Laura’s account is the place to go. Plus, if a product has become cult on TikTok, you’ll find it on her Instagram page too. Her finger is firmly on the pulse and covers all the latest trends. She creates the most beautiful texture and application Reels to show you products in action.
Why are you so passionate about the beauty industry and what product category are you most obsessed with?
I love helping people feel their best. There’s no better feeling than when you get a DM because you’ve recommended a product that has helped transform someone’s skin, or a new makeup product that really works! It’s such a feel good factor.
Growing up I suffered with eczema, psoriasis and although I haven’t suffered for many years, I have exceptionally dry skin. Skincare has given me so much confidence and when I discover new products/brands that just WORK, I get super passionate. Some people get excited about a new handbag, travel, or the latest technology gadget, but I get excited about beauty.
If I could only have one category of beauty, it would have to be skincare. I’m a great believer that a good skincare routine gives a healthy and radiant complexion. If your skin is in its best condition, it allows makeup to enhance your features rather than simply mask flaws. Most days you’ll find me just wearing a good, tinted SPF, a cream blush, and a good lip oil with a pop of colour. Less is more.
The one to tell you the products that will last all day through all the tears:
Jamie @jamierockers
A busy, full-time influencer and Mum to a toddler, makes Jamie the best place to seek makeup and skincare advice from if you are struggling with time or looking tired. She has her priorities firmly in place, so shows you how to fit products that really work into a busy routine. So that you can both look and feel amazing. She also shares a lot of her travels, so those with wanderlust will love her account.
Why are you passionate about the beauty content you create?
Skincare is my absolute passion and even if I weren’t showcasing my love for it online, you better believe I would still be doing my skincare routine morning and night and spending all my spare coins on the latest products. I’ve loved beauty since I was a young girl and I think if you make your passion your job, you never run out of inspiration.
I think the most important thing is not to use filters in your content and not make anyone feel bad about ageing. We all age and to age is a privilege – I just want people to feel good while doing it!
I am passionate about beauty because I think it comes back to self-care. I understand self-care means something different to everyone, but for me, it means taking a moment. In that moment you better believe I’m doing some kind of facial massage!

Why are you passionate about the beauty content you create?
Pure enjoyment. I genuinely love finding new brands, trying new products, creating content and building a network of like-minded women. The content I create is a mix of lifestyle, beauty and business – I hope that my content inspires and motivates my audience. I also want my page to be a place women can escape to.
Myself and my company has worked with many industries and beauty by far has been my favourite, that’s why my agency now only works with beauty brands. I’ve found from my 14 years working in the digital PR sphere that the beauty industry is the most exciting, inclusive and friendliest sphere to work in.

Why do you think content like yours is important for beauty consumers?
As a busy working mum, I’ve experienced the transformative power of skincare and a touch of makeup. It’s not just about looking good, it’s about nurturing one’s inner well-being and taking moments for oneself. I would like to remind my audience of that.
My beauty reviews can potentially resonate with those who share similar skin tones, skin issues, and lifestyles. It’s about sharing a journey and connecting with people.
Through my content, my aim is to provide a touch of entertainment and help people to discover beauty in the simplest of things. The beauty industry is all about self-expression, self-care, and holistic well-being. It’s a celebration of self-love and the simple joys that enrich our lives. I aspire to convey this message to my audience, inspiring others to embrace beauty as a form of self-care.
